Well Child

Our team will check your child's physical and mental health and overall sense of well-being. Well child checkups are important parts of comprehensive pediatric care. More time is allotted for well child visits than sick visits because there is more to be accomplished.

At a well-child visit at Hall Pediatrics some of the tests and procedures include:

• Vision and hearing test
• Blood pressure screening
• Height and weight measurement
• Vaccinations (we offer FREE vaccines for children, if they qualify)

At Hall Pediatrics, we encourage our patients to share their medical family history.

Of particular importance are the people in your family tree who were diagnosed with known inheritable diseases such as diabetes, asthma, muscular dystrophy, psoriasis, breast cancer, etc.

To get the most out of a Well Child visit, please be prepared to talk with your pediatrician about history of present illness (if applicable), past medical history, allergies (if applicable), medications taken, family medical history including psychological history, environmental history (is the patient exposed to cigarette smoke?), nutritional habits, developmental and immunization history.

Please dress your child in comfortable clothing and bring books or something else that will keep him/her happy while waiting for the appointment.

We have separate well-child and sick-child waiting rooms for your ease of mind.
